POLITIČKO I RELIGIJSKO U DRUŠTVU
(na primjeru odnosa države i vjerskih zajednica)
Rezime
Tajna mudrosti u uspostavljanju suodnosa države i crkve sadržana je u zajedničkom
naporu da država izbjegne da bude "kolektivni teist" ili pak "kolektivni
ateist". U suglasju s tim, crkva ne smije ni u kojoj domeni instrumentalizirati
državu i, usporedo s tim, uznastojati se othrvati bilo kom obliku, otvorene
ili prikrivene, manipulacije od strane države i političkih stranaka.
Povlačenje crkve od pretenzija na politiku i na njenu avangardnu misiju
unutar nacije, dakle, njeno ostajanje u religijskim okvirima, odgovaralo
bi prevladavajućoj tendenciji razvoja crkve i religije u svijetu i osobitostima
našeg društva. Uklonom prema ovakvoj usmjerenosti, i država i crkva pokazat
će da se temelje na humanističkim principima što se iscrpljuju u ovostranom
(kad je govor o državi) i sežu u onostrano (kad je govor o crkvi).

(based on the
example of state-religious communities relationship)
Summary
The secret of wisdom
in establishing a relationship between the state and the church is contained
in the mutual effort for the state to avoid being the "collective theist"
or "collective atheist". In accordance with that, the church must not in
any respect instrumentalize the state and, simultaneously, has to try to
resist any form, either open or disguised, of manipulation on the part
of the state and political parties.
The withdrawal of
the church from politics and its avant-guarde mission within a nation,
which means its remaining within the religious framework, would suit the
prevailing tendences of church and religion development in the world and
the peculiarities of our society. By avoiding this direction, both the
state and the church will show that they are based upon humanistic principles
which is exhausted in the this-wordly (when it comes to the state)
and reaches the other-wordly (when it comes to the church).
